Eternity is Shorter: Mexico Through the Eyes of Rafael Doníz and Pedro Valtierra

In collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico in Ankara, Erimtan Archaeology and Arts Museum is pleased to present the exhibition “Eternity Is Shorter: Mexico Through the Eyes of Rafael Doníz and Pedro Valtierra”, curated by Héctor Orozco, opening on November 8, 2025.

The exhibition brings together selected works by Rafael Doníz and Pedro Valtierra, two of the most prominent Mexican photographers of the 20th century. Visitors are invited on a visual journey through Mexico’s diverse regions, cultural richness, and defining historical moments.

Through their distinctive artistic visions, Doníz and Valtierra capture Mexico’s social, political, and human dimensions with remarkable sensitivity. While their paths intersect across time and space, both artists offer deeply personal yet equally authentic perspectives on their homeland.

On view until January 11, 2026, at the Erimtan Archaeology and Arts Museum, the exhibition presents for the first time in Türkiye such a comprehensive selection highlighting the diversity and strength of Mexican photography.
